A credit is $2. One credit upscales a photo to 4K; an 8K upscale is 2 credits and includes the 4K version. They never expire, and failed renders refund automatically.

Every photo is encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256. Your images are stored privately, served only to you through short-lived signed links, and never used to train any model.
